Philip Nassenstein
Co-founder · Noza CollectiveAs a producer and DJ, Philip works mostly in sound. He approaches every project by ear first. Music production has been part of his life for years, and it’s still what he studies today at Conservatorium Haarlem. His sound is shaped by many different genres, from soul and R&B to electronic music, most of it rooted in Black music culture. J Dilla, Pharrell Williams and Daft Punk are big influences, alongside the many producers, DJs and makers in the Netherlands where his roots lie.
He started Noza Collective with Levi to bring a new perspective to the visual side of the music industry: new ways to document, stream and share music, with all-round creative direction at the core. The two share the same energy, and they bring it into every project.
For Phil, the right atmosphere comes first. Before any project begins, he wants to know the energy is good and that everyone is in it together. That feeling of working as a family, among open-minded and like-minded people, started for him at Kazerne Reigersbos, where Noza has its office today.
He does his best work on diverse, multidisciplinary projects, where he can grasp the full vision of what an artist, a DJ or anyone working in the arts needs, and help bring that production to life.
